<note>Telah dilakukan telaah pendahuluan fitokimia fraksi n-heksana dan fraksi etil asetat dari ekstrak metanol daun pagoda (Clerodendrum paniculatum L) dari fraksi n-heksa dengan kromatografi lapis tipis ditemukan senyawa sterol yang diduga stigmasterol, dan fraksi etil asetat dengan kromatografi kertas  diduga adanya flavonoid. Dari ekstrak metanol didapat asam felarut dalam bentuk glikosa asam fenolat yang diduga asam vanilat, asam p-hidroksi benzoat dan asam felarut dalam bentuk glikosida; asam p-hidroksi benzoat dan asam felarut dalam bentuk bebas dan ester.</note>
