<note>Telah dilakukan aktivitas antioksidan biji pepaya varietas bangkok dan biji pepaya varietas solo ( Carica Papaya Linn.). Hasil penapisan fitokimia serbuk simplisia, ekstrak dan minyak menunjukkan adanya golongan senyawa alkaloid, saponin, tanin dan fenol. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) menggunakan spektrofotometer ultraviolet sinar tampak. Aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi diberikan oleh ekstrak metanol biji pepaya varietas Solo diikuti minyak biji pepaya varietas Solo, ekstrak metanol biji pepaya varietas Bangkok, minyak biji pepaya varietas Bangkok, dengan nilai IC50 masing-masing yaitu 1043,33 µg/ml, 1101,72 µg/ml, 1346,00 µg/ml, 1447,50 µg/ml. Sedangkan vitamin C sebagai pembanding memiliki nilai IC50 4,29 µg/ml.</note>
